Triumphant Talbot retained the Chaloner Cup in 2024. They have now won the trophy for four successive years and their house flag will continue to fly above Main School.
Talbot exhibited depth and breadth to win this year’s competition. Winners of House Athletics, Rugby Sevens, Hockey and Gymnastics they also took second place in seven further events including House Music and Dixon Cup.
The house system is central to Haberdashers' Adams. The trophy, named after the first Headmaster, Thomas Chaloner, recognises the contribution and endeavour that house members put into each house competition. 20 events were held over the course of 12-months. These ranged from large events where most of the students were involved (House Music, Dixon Cup, Cross Country, Rugby and Netball) to medium events where dozens of pupils were involved (Badminton, Debating, Rounders and Entrepreneurship) and small events where less than ten per house were involved (Chess, Geography, Maths and Gymnastics).
The Chaloner Cup will once again be adorned with the black and white house colours of Talbot. Congratulations Talbot!
