Our alumni – known as Old Novaportans or ONs – are a vital part of our school community and we are proud of everything they have achieved. We keep in regular contact with many former pupils and they offer us support with their time, skills and experience, as well as helping us financially during our fundraising campaigns to improve our facilities and opportunities for our students.
They offer up-to-date advice on applying to the UK’s leading universities as well as careers advice for a huge range of professions. We are very lucky that many of our ONs return for annual events such as UCAS Preparation Week and the Careers Fair and we are very grateful to them for giving up their time.
We also regularly welcome ONs back for reunion events, which is a testament to the enduring friendships that are made here at Adams. ONs are welcome to come and visit the school to chat with former teachers and see how the school has changed since they left either individually or with their year group.

Richard Burge (1969-1976)
Richard is CEO of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, having previously held a number of senior positions with a variety of private, public and civil society organisations. He is also a Liveryman at the Worshipful Company of World Traders.
Radzi Chinyanganya (1998-2005)
Radzi is one of TV’s most recognisable faces – first coming to prominence as a presenter on Blue Peter. He is now a presenter on a wide variety of programmes from athletics to snooker to Crufts. He has also appeared on Dancing on Ice and
has recently branched out into creating books for children to improve their fitness.
Jeremy Corbyn (1960-1967)
Jeremy Corbyn is a long-serving politician who served as Leader of the Labour Party and Leader of the Opposition from 2015 to 2020. He has been an MP for Islington North since 1983. Throughout his school and political career, he has passionately campaigned against inequality.
Ben Gernon (2000-2007)
Ben is a world-renowned conductor who has worked with many prestigious orchestras and operas around the world, including the BBC Philharmonic, the Vienna Symphony and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
Eliot Higgins (1990-1995)
Eliot is the founder of Bellingcat, a website for independent investigative journalism. He helped to investigate the Syrian Civil War, the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 in Ukraine and the illegal wildlife trade in the UAE.
Nick Jenkins (1978-1985)
Nick Jenkins is an entrepreneur and founder of the online greetings card retailer Moonpig.com. He was later a panel member on BBC 2’s Dragons Den and has invested in over 30 companies.
