Our Pavilion Campaign

Our Sporting Heritage

in Our Pavilion Campaign

Adams enjoys a reputation for being one of the leading sporting schools in the Midlands. All of our pupils have the opportunity to take part in sport on a regular basis with the aim to motivate everyone to enjoy sport and to develop their talent.

My time at Adams cemented my love of rugby.

Graham Kitchener - England Rugby Union player & Old Novaportan (2001-2008)

Every year-group enjoys a full afternoon of Games at Longford each week as well as two additional sessions of PE and we are proud to be able to offer a huge variety of sports including rugby, football, hockey, netball, cricket, athletics, rounders, crosscountry, badminton, tennis, table-tennis, basketball and swimming. Overall, pupils have 19 different House sporting competitions they can get involved in, seven of which are aimed at every pupil from Year 7 to Year 13.

Many pupils end up playing at the highest levels, regularly representing their county and the region in a wide range of sports that they have had the opportunity to try at school and subsequently grown to love.

Numerous international rugby players have developed their skills at Adams including Peter Short, Graham Kitchener, Andrew Kitchener, Oli Claxton, Sam Egerton and Jamie Robinson and Longford continues to provide wonderful training grounds for many cross-country champions.
