in Our Pavilion Campaign

Thanks to the support of a number of our Parents, Old Novaportans and Governors along with a successful school bid for funding from the Department for Education, we have already raised over £800,000. With your help and and support, we believe we can very quickly make a sporting dream a reality and provide facilities that befits the standard of sport at Adams.

Your Support

If you wish to donate to our Making A Difference Campaign, you can do so in one of two ways:

  • Complete a Gift Card to make either a one-off payment or a regular monthly payment spread over three years.

Gift Card

  • Pay online by making a bank transfer to the Haberdashers' Adams Pavilion Campaign account.

Via a Bank Transfer

When making a gift, you may wish to consider the following options:

Gift Aid

As the school has charitable status, we can reclaim an extra 25% in tax on every eligible donation made by a UK taxpayer at no extra cost to you. This means that for every £1 you give, the school can claim an extra 25p in Gift Aid from HMRC.

Tax Relief for Higher Rate Taxpayers

If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you may be entitled to claim additional tax relief of 20% or 25% of your gross gift to the School i.e. the difference between the basic rate of 20% tax and the higher or additional rates of 40% or 45% tax. (This will vary if the higher rate changes in the future.) Donations made in the 2019/20 tax year can be included on the tax return for 2018/19, up to and including the date of submission, providing this is the first tax return submitted for 2018/19.

Gift of Shares

If you make a gift of publicly quoted shares, you will be eligible to claim income tax relief by deducting the market value of the share from your taxable income, meaning you will obtain relief at 20%, 40% or 45% depending on the level of your taxable income. You will also be exempt from paying capital gains tax on gifts of quoted and unquoted shares, works of art and property.

Corporate Giving

Gifts through companies may qualify for corporate tax relief.

Payroll Giving

If your employer has a payroll giving (Give as Your Earn) scheme, you can give any amount to the School via  deduction from your salary and receive immediate tax relief at your highest rate.

Our Campaign Manager, Caroline Cheal, will be pleased to answer any questions you may have.
