We welcome both boys and girls into our Sixth Form and invite you to join us at one of our open afternoons which are held in the early part of the Spring term.  Dates and booking details can be found on the Open Events page.

New pupils can be confident of a warm welcome when joining our Sixth Form. From Year 11 to the lower sixth the year group nearly doubles in size as we welcome both boys and girls from local schools as day pupils and boys as boarders from across the UK and the world.

2019 Admissions Process

Applications for a day places in our Sixth Form in September 2019 closed at 4pm on Wednesday 13th February. Many thanks to all of the Year 11 pupils and their families who have attended one of our Open Afternoons or our Options Forum to find out more about the opportunities available at Adams.

Boarding Applications 

If you wish to apply for a boarding place please contact our Development and Boarding Manager Caroline Cheal at: Caroline.Cheal@adamsgs.uk We have a new senior boarding house which provides an ideal stepping stone between home and university life.

Offer Letters

Offer letters for 2019 places will be sent towards the end of March 2019.

16-19 Bursary Scheme

This government scheme is available to help pupils in further education, such as the Haberdashers Adams’ Sixth Form. Two sorts of financial support are available:

1.Discretionary awards to support young people from households with an income of less than £30,000, to help with costs such as transport, meals, books and equipment.

2. Bursary of £1,200 to support young people in the following groups:

  • Students in care
  • Care leavers
  • Students in receipt of Income Support or Universal Credit
  • Disabled students in receipt of Employment Support Allowance who are also in receipt of Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence payments.

Students who receive financial support from this scheme will be expected to comply with the School scheme guidelines and stick to the expected standards of attendance and behaviour.

To apply, please complete the Bursary Application Form which is available here and return to Mrs R J Tomkinson, Chief Financial Officer, together with the required documentary evidence by 30th September 2018.
