Providing an outstanding learning experience is at the heart of everything we do and we are proud of the excellent results our pupils achieve. We believe the success of a school cannot be measured by results alone however if you do wish to see the full range of our results you can do so on the Government’s school performance website.
"We saw some truly incredible results in the summer with 35 of our A-level students achieving three or more passes at A*-A while ten students achieved an incredible four A*/A grades. All nine Oxbridge offers were secured and all eleven students wishing to study medicine/veterinary successfully achieved the necessary grades. Overall 97% of our students achieved A*-C at A-level and 135 students have secured places at the university of their choice.
Our Year 11 pupils also achieved some amazing GCSE results with 97% A*-C and 90% at A*/B, placing the school 2nd in Telford and Wrekin for GCSE attainment. Pupils achieved a 100% pass rate for the new grading system in English and maths and while there were supposed to be very few top grade 9s awarded nationally, we were extremely delighted to report 42 grade 9s, with an astonishing 22 in maths and 20 in English. A number of pupils achieved straight A*/A and 9/8 grades in all ten of their GCSEs which is a truly wonderful achievement. In addition to our pupils’ very high levels of achievement in their exams they made more progress than expected between joining the school in Year 7 and completing their GCSEs, as shown by our positive Progress 8 score, which is higher than the previous year. We continue to work hard to help all of our pupils to achieve the very highest academic results they are capable of whilst also ensuring they have a well-rounded education and are able to take advantage of all of the opportunities available to them."
